Other things to think about, let your conscience lead the way:

• Don't leave your team (and company we are stockholders, you know!) in a lurch - Best time to leave is after the ship cycle. Give plenty of notice. Document your code/procedures! Don't join the competition ;)
• Use your health insurance as is ethical - Remember if you are taking time off COBRA doesn't cover nearly what your Microsoft benefits did. You might want to have your eyes examined, etc.
• Use up your company store account - You know your friends will ask for that copy of office a week after you leave. Better stock up on the games too if you will have some time to occupy.
• Not sure what the policy is on health care accounts - I never took advantage of them.
