• Exercise your body - Convert your ProClub membership! The ProClub wastes no time and will terminate you the moment Microsoft informs them you left. Your membership won't even last to the end of the month. This isn't actually a problem since you can convert it later but it is embarrassing when the alarms go off at the door! It will cost $200 to convert to a prime-time membership within 60 days of leaving Microsoft (won't cost anything if you are willing to only go non-prime time (before 3:00PM)) and $114 a month. You will get $100 of the transfer fee refunded when you get your MSA number (see below).
• Exercise those stock options - you have 90 days (calendar days, not business days) and your stock options expire if you don't exercise them first!
• Sign up for COBRA if you are taking time off (or looking for a job) - Once you have signed up for COBRA pay your bills promptly: Aetna would like nothing better than to cancel your coverage and they will it has happened to other exMicrosofties while they were away traveling!
